2 Days Lake Nakuru Rhinos & Lake Naivasha Tour

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru Game Drive & Baboon Cliff Viewpoint

6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Pick-up & Departure from Nairobi
Meet your professional driver-guide at your Nairobi hotel or airport pickup point. Begin the scenic drive west toward the Great Rift Valley.

7:30 AM – 8:15 AM: Great Rift Valley Viewpoint Stopover
Pause at the escarpment viewpoint for sweeping panorama photos over the Rift Valley floor, Mount Longonot, and the surrounding volcanic landscape.

8:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Transit to Lake Nakuru National Park
Descend the escarpment and drive through Naivasha and Gilgil towns, arriving at the Main Gate or Lanet Gate of Lake Nakuru National Park by late morning.

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Midday Game Drive & Shoreline Tracking
Enter the park for your initial game viewing drive. Explore the acacia woodlands and alkaline shorelines to spot Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, buffalos, and flamingos.

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Picnic Lunch or Lodge Break
Enjoy a boxed picnic lunch at a designated park site or a hot lunch at a lodge inside the reserve.

2:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Afternoon Rhino Tracking & Baboon Cliff Vantage
Spend the afternoon tracking protected black and white rhinos in the park sanctuary. Ascend to the famous Baboon Cliff viewpoint for panoramic vistas across the entire lake basin before exiting the park gates.

5:30 PM Onward: Nakuru Hotel Check-In & Dinner
Transfer to your selected 3-star / 4-star hotel in Nakuru town. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Naivasha Boat Safari, Crescent Island Walk & Return to Nairobi

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Hotel Breakfast & Check-Out
Enjoy a full breakfast at your hotel, finalize packing, and check out for your morning drive toward Lake Naivasha.

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Scenic Drive from Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Drive south through the Rift Valley, passing Lake Elmenteita before reaching the freshwater shores of Lake Naivasha.

10:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Motorized Boat Safari Excursion
Board a motorized safety boat along Lake Naivasha. Cruise past pods of hippos submerged in the shallow waters and observe African fish eagles hunting from the acacia tree canopies.

11:15 AM – 1:00 PM: Crescent Island Sanctuary Guided Walking Safari
Disembark at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a guided walking safari. Walk safely alongside wild grazing giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, waterbucks, and gazelles with no natural predators present.

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Lakeside Restaurant Lunch
Return to the mainland by boat and enjoy a relaxed lunch at a lakeside resort or restaurant.

2:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Return Journey to Nairobi
Begin the overland return journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
