Check in to your eco-lodge nestled within the ancient tropical rainforest canopy. After enjoying a freshly prepared lunch, embark on your first guided walk along the peaceful Rondo Forest trails. Day 2: Sunrise Canopy Bird Trek & Lirhanda Hill Panoramic Ascent
Set out at dawn when the rainforest canopy springs to life with birdsong. Track rare avian species alongside expert birding guides, watching for the magnificent Great Blue Turaco, Black-and-White Casqued Hornbill, and rare greenbuls. Return to the lodge for breakfast before setting out on an afternoon trek toward Lirhanda Hill—the highest elevation point in the forest. Hike past dramatic bat-inhabited caves to reach the summit, taking in breathtaking panoramic sunrise views stretching across the endless green canopy below before enjoying dinner under the stars.
Day 3: Indigenous Botanical Walk & Return Transfer to Kisumu/Eldoret
Begin your final morning with a gentle nature walk focusing on the forest’s rich botanical heritage. Accompanied by a resident naturalist guide, discover ancient medicinal plants, giant strangler fig trees, and hundreds of vibrant, fluttering butterfly species exclusive to Western Kenya.
