Day 1: Journey to the Great Maasai Mara
Depart early morning from Nairobi, driving down the Great Rift Valley escarpment into the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your luxury tented camp in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game tracking drive across the golden savannah in search of lions, leopards, and vast herds of plains game.
Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Savannah Exploration
Spend a full day immersed in deep-savannah game tracking. Head to the Mara River to view basking Nile crocodiles and hippo pods, track predator prides on the hunt, and enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the wild. Conclude the day with an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari or a visit to an authentic Maasai cultural village.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Big Five Safari
Enjoy another full day exploring undiscovered corners of the reserve. Track endangered rhinos, large elephant herds, and elusive cheetahs along the acacia thickets, taking in late-afternoon sunset views over the Mara ecosystem before returning to your camp for dinner.
Day 4: Morning Drive, Return to Nairobi & SGR Train Express to Diani
Savor a final sunrise game drive in the Mara before embarking on a journey back to Nairobi (or optional short domestic flight). Board the afternoon Madaraka Express SGR Train in First Class, taking in views of Tsavo's wilderness from your window before transferring directly to your beachfront resort in Diani Beach.
Day 5: Diani Beach Relaxation & Tropical Coastal Living
Spend a full day unwinding on the powder-white sands of Diani Beach. Take dips in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, indulge in fresh local Swahili seafood, or participate in optional beachfront activities such as kitesurfing, camel rides, or sunset dhow cruises.
Day 6: Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Safari & Coastal Departure
Embark on a morning ocean safari to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park and Wasini Island to spot wild dolphins, sea turtles, and snorkel among pristine coral reefs. Return to your resort for an afternoon checkout before transferring to Ukunda Airstrip or Mombasa SGR Station for your return connection to Nairobi.
