Day 1: SGR Express Journey to Mombasa & Bamburi Beach Resort Check-in
Board the morning SGR Madaraka Express train from Nairobi, taking in panoramic views of the open savannahs and wildlife in Tsavo along the way. Arrive at the Miritini Terminus in Mombasa, where your private driver-guide will meet you for a transfer across the island to the North Coast. Check in to your 4-star beachfront resort in Bamburi, spend the afternoon relaxing by the oceanfront swimming pool, and enjoy an evening Swahili buffet dinner accompanied by live coastal entertainment.
Day 2: Morning Beach Leisure & Haller Park Eco-Sanctuary Tour
Enjoy a leisurely morning strolling along Bamburi’s soft white sands or swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. In the afternoon, take a short transfer to the renowned Haller Park—a reclaimed quarry turned thriving ecosystem. Tour the sanctuary alongside a resident naturalist to hand-feed friendly Rothschild giraffes, view giant Aldabra tortoises, observe hippos and crocodiles, and explore the botanical gardens before returning to your resort for a sunset dinner.
Day 3: Coastal Shopping, Morning Ocean Swim & SGR Return to Nairobi
Begin your final morning with a sunrise ocean dip followed by a hearty hotel breakfast. Check out of the resort and spend brief leisure time exploring local curio markets for wood carvings and Swahili crafts along the North Coast. Meet your driver for a private transfer back to the Miritini SGR Terminus, boarding the afternoon Madaraka Express train back to Nairobi, arriving by late evening.
